When the camera was pointed toward the other side of Powell Street, you often saw Clinton Cafeteria, Florsheim Shoes, or both.
A contemporary photo of the James Flood Building shows where the shops once were: The green window on the left would have been the edge of Clinton Cafeteria, the orange windows were Florshiem, and the rest was Owl Drug.
